Weltempfang – Centre for Politics, Literature and Translation at Frankfurter Buchmesse

Weltempfang 2020

The first digital version of Weltempfang — Frankfurter Buchmesse's centre for politics, literature and translation — was dedicated to »Europe - Connecting Cultures«.

On the agenda: the role of culture, literature and politics in times of COVID-19 and debates on migration, racism and gender.

Weltempfang is a joint project of Frankfurter Buchmesse and the German Federal Foreign Office.

The complete programme 2020 is from now on available digitally.

Weltempfang 2019

Frankfurt Bookfair has commissioned Litprom to organise the »Weltempfang« project, a collaboration between Frankfurt Bookfair and the German Federal Foreign Office.

The »Weltempfang« has traditionally been a place for panel discussions, talks and readings with international authors, intellectuals and translators.

Since 2018, the »Weltempfang« has been located in Hall 4.1, B81, close to the areas dedicated to independent German publishers and the arts.

Main focus 2019: »Man-made. Anthropocene — The last age?«
