Then join Julian Fuchs, director and head of cultural programs at Goethe-Institut Manila, as he gets to know 7 exciting players of the literary scene in the Philippines today. 

Participating authors will include Cecilia Brainard, an acclaimed historical fiction writer, Carla De Guzman, a contemporary romance author, Renato Tranquilino, a sci-fi fantasy author, and Sarge Lacuesta, a celebrated short story writer. 

Insiders from publishing will include Cindy Wong from 8Letters, an independent publishing house and boutique bookstore, Mara Coson from Exploding Galaxies, a Manila-based publishing house dedicated to rediscovering classics of Philippine fiction, and Ned Parfan from University of Santo Tomas Publishing House (USTPH), an academic publishing house that evolved from the UST Press, founded in 1593, and as such the oldest continuing press in the world today, next to Cambridge University in England.
